HUAYI Automatic Gas Odorization System is designed for controlled injection of liquid odorant into natural gas transmission and distribution systems. The system receives the gas flow signal and adjusts the odorant injection rate according to changes in gas flow, helping maintain the required odorization level under varying operating conditions.
The system can be configured with single or dual metering pumps, odorant storage tanks, control cabinet, level indication and related piping and instrumentation. Automatic flow-proportional control and manual adjustment can be provided according to project requirements.
Typical applications include natural gas gate stations, pressure regulating and metering stations, city gas distribution systems and industrial natural gas supply systems.
Product Overview
HUAYI Automatic Gas Odorization System is designed to inject a controlled quantity of liquid odorant into a natural gas stream. The system can receive a gas flow signal from the upstream metering system and automatically adjust the odorant injection rate according to changes in gas flow.
The equipment can be configured according to project-specific gas flow, operating pressure, odorant type, dosing requirements, control philosophy and site conditions.
Main System Components
Odorant metering pump
Odorant storage tank
Control cabinet
Liquid level indication and calibration arrangement

Automatic Odorant Injection
The control system can receive a 4–20 mA gas flow signal from the external flow measurement system. The signal is processed by the controller to regulate the operation of the metering pump, allowing the odorant injection rate to follow changes in natural gas flow.
Manual adjustment can also be provided according to the selected control configuration.
Odorant Metering and Storage
The system can be equipped with stainless steel odorant storage and measuring components. Liquid level indication and calibration arrangements can be incorporated to support operation, inspection and adjustment of the odorant injection system.
Tank capacity and configuration can be selected according to the required odorant consumption, operating period and project requirements.
Safety and Control
Depending on the project requirements and installation area, the odorization system can be configured with appropriate electrical, instrumentation and safety components for the specified operating environment.
Explosion-protection requirements, hazardous-area classification, electrical protection level and applicable certification requirements should be confirmed during project engineering.
